INDORE: A girl employed at a food outlet in Indore was assaulted by a group of four girls in Dwarkapuri area after a dispute over alleged maligning of the image of one of the accused, the police said on Tuesday.
In a video that went viral on social media on Tuesday, four girls could be seen arguing with the victim, and later started beating her with kicks and punches.

One of the accused is also seen beating the girl with a stick.
The victim could be seen crying and requesting locals to call the police, while one of the accused girls challenged her by shouting ‘go file a complaint'.
Dwarkapuri police station in-charge Satish Dwivedi said that the 19-year-old victim, a resident of Rishi Vihar Colony, was allegedly maligning one of the accused girls from the same neighbourhood with questions about her character and that led to a dispute.
“On Sunday morning when Nandini was going for work, Pinky and her three friends allegedly approached her and thrashed her,” he said, adding that the video of the incident was recorded by one of the locals of the area, and it was later circulated on social media.
He said that the victim later approached the police and filed a complaint, and on the basis of this, a case under IPC sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34.
“The accused - all minors, have been issued notices to appear in a court in the incident and further proceedings in the case are ongoing,” he added.
